New in Omnia maps, you can now create instant waypoints from your location when you’re on the water. Plus, we’ve made it a lot easier to share waypoints with friends and family. These updates are available to both free and Omnia PRO members.
Drop a Waypoint With One Tap
When you are bringing your Omnia Fishing app with you on the water, you want to be able to drop waypoints as you’re scouting your lake as quickly as possible. Our new instant waypoint feature does just that. Tap the button in the corner of your app to instantly drop a new waypoint at your current location.
You can add details and notes at that time, or just save it for later. When you access your Omnia account from home in the app or on the website, your new waypoints will be waiting for you, to update and organize as you like.
With an Omnia account, you get unlimited storage for waypoints. So you can tap away without worrying about running out of space.
Sort and Filter
Have a lot of waypoints to wade through? Our filter and sorting features can help make sense of it all.
When you drop a waypoint we automatically detect and display the lake name. When you are reviewing your points, you can filter by that, or by date or waypoint type.
Create a custom list of your points to sharpen the focus of your trip planning. You can zero in on the waypoints relevant to your current trip, then combine with PRO layers like wind, water temps and lake structure.
Easy Sharing Tools
Forget taking a cell phone image of your graph or tapping in coordinates one character at a time. When your waypoints are saved to your Omnia account, you can share them with trusted friends and family with just a few taps.
From your list of waypoints, tap the Share option to generate a shareable URL you can send by text, email or DM. Your recipient can view the location on an Omnia map from a web browser, with no Omnia registration required.
